Juggernauts Deal Marsh to Cockatoos for Garland Thursday, June 25th , 2065 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Juggernauts announced today the acquisition of 32-year old RHP Doug Garland from the Michigan Cockatoos in exchange for 30-year old 2B Dennis Marsh and 22-year old 1B John Van Cleave. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Juggernauts, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Marsh is swinging at a .325 pace on the year with no home runs, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has played in 24 games. This season Garland has compiled a 4-5 mark with a 3.24 ERA in 12 starts. |
