Tanaka Earns UBLE's Best Pitcher Honor Saturday, August 1st , 2065 Tough in the clutch -- that's a bullpen specialist. And one of the best in the league is Shoda Tanaka of the Michigan Cockatoos. Tanaka was outstanding in July and was named the Pitcher of the Month in the East. Michigan's star reliever held the opposition to a .157 average and put up no saves and 22 strikeouts in 20.2 innings with a 4-0 mark and a 1.74 ERA. So far this season Tanaka has no saves in 6 relief appearances with a 7-7 mark and 4.21 ERA. Opposing teams are hitting .227 against him. |
