Cockatoos Trade Lappi to Possums for Pesonen Sunday, October 4th , 2065 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Cockatoos announced today the acquisition of 33-year old 3B Jarno Pesonen from the Massachusetts Possums in exchange for 35-year old C Aimo Lappi. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Cockatoos, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." In his 392-game career Lappi is hitting .256 with 336 hits, 78 doubles, 5 triples and 29 home runs. He has scored 135 runs and driven in 159. His career numbers show Pesonen is batting .262 with a total of 50 home runs. |
