League KO's Gophers-Rascals Players with 3-Game Suspensions Thursday, May 16th , 2069 Baseball confrontations occasionally get intense and sometimes that tension becomes too much and boils over into more than just words. This time it happened to Indiana's Josh Larsen and Tennessee's Sean Cook. The two were the main participants in a fight that cleared the benches. Today both were suspended by the league for 3 games for their aggressive actions. "I hope things settle down now," the manager of the Rascals said later. "There's no reason for us to be locked in a cycle of revenge. We all need to focus on baseball instead." This year, Larsen is batting .208 with 22 hits, 1 home run, 16 RBIs, 16 walks, .312 OBP and has scored 10 runs. For the year, Cook has 17 relief appearances and a 2-2 record with no saves. He has logged 19.1 innings and allowed 19 base hits. Opposing clubs have put up a .250 batting average against him. Cook has rung up 19 strikeouts, surrendered 5 walks and fashioned a 5.12 ERA. |
