Tolbert Shows Off, Hits for Cycle Sunday, July 28th , 2069 Requiring speed, power, and regular contact, the cycle is often seen as a test of a complete hitter. For Rudy Tolbert, consider that test passed. The 33-year-old right fielder hit for the cycle at Piranhas Ballpark, to help the Nebraska Terriers triumph, 10-3, over the Nevada Piranhas. All told, Tolbert delivered 4 hits in 4 at-bats with 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. "It feels good of course, but I'm not going to kid anyone -- there's a lot of luck in hitting for the cycle," he said after the game. "Several unique things have to come together all in the same game." Rudy Tolbert singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run triple in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Curt Clark in the 7th.
