Yellowhammers Move on to League Championship Series Saturday, October 24th , 2065 The Alabama Yellowhammers have advanced to the League Championship Series, thanks in large part to the pitching performance of right-hander Matt Hager. Hager led the way during the Wildcard Series, as his club eliminated the Maryland Bridegrooms 4-2. The final game came tonight at Bridegrooms Stadium with a 7-5 victory for Alabama. "I don't think I did anything special or better than any of my teammates that helped us get here," Hager said. "It takes everyone to win a series." En route to the MVP award, he registered a 0.56 ERA over 16 innings pitched, with 13 strikeouts.
