de la Rosa Rockets 3 HR Against St. Petersburg Thursday, August 27th , 2065 Sanford Swamp Things first baseman Marco de la Rosa left the St. Petersburg pitching staff in ruins at St. Petersburg Park today, beating the Crocodiles 24-4 with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," de la Rosa told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Sanford first baseman had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 6 runs. Marco de la Rosa hit a solo-shot off Alexis Centeno in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jordan Felix in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 9th. So far this year de la Rosa is batting .336 with 27 home runs. |
