He may have less experience than most of his Liberty League peers, but that didn't slow Mike Roberts down at all in 2068.
At the age of 18, the Punta Gorda first baseman has been named the winner of the East Most Valuable Hitter.
He had a .366 batting average and a .472 on-base percentage this year. In 137 games he piled up 181 hits, 37 doubles, no triples, 41 home runs, 114 RBIs and 114 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 20. Logan Nickerson of the Gainesville Gators finished second in voting, while Adam Szarka of the Punta Gorda Bulldogs finished third.

Matt Cuthbert took Liberty League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 19.
For his spectacular campaign, the Sanford Swamp Things star has been named the 2068 West Most Valuable Hitter recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman.
On the season he compiled a .302 batting average to go with a .439 on-base percentage. The native of Rialto, California also added 22 doubles, no triples, 53 home runs, 152 RBIs and 132 runs scored.
He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 20. Feng-yi Sen of the Miami Aces finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Bill Sanderson of the St. Cloud Silver Hawks finished third with 2 first place votes.
