Bucs Pitching Ravaged by Hernandez
Tuesday, July 17th , 2068
Joel Hernandez was at the head of a Miami Beach hit parade today at Pelican Park. The second baseman went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Expos to a 23-6 victory over the Bradenton Bucs.
"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Hernandez told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."
Bucs skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate."
"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
Joel Hernandez struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Hernandez is hitting .364 in 2068 with 25 RBIs and 1 home run.
