Kringos Rips Colorado Springs for 5 Hits
Sunday, May 31st , 2065
Glendale Cobras left fielder Alcander Kringos had a day to remember at Cobras Park today, ripping apart the Colorado Springs Avalanche and sparking the Cobras to a 14-4 victory.
Kringos wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Kringos told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
Alcander Kringos hit a solo-shot off Alfredo Carrillo in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
For the year Kringos is batting .306 with 52 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 26 times and driven in 24.
