Injury Sidelines Christopher Hoffmann for Season Saturday, July 25th , 2065 Louisville starting pitcher Christopher Hoffmann could miss the remainder of the season because of radial nerve compression. He exited yesterday's Toronto game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Hoffmann would be out 8-9 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." Checking out his stats for the season, Hoffmann has notched 3 wins and 9 losses in 17 starts. His ERA is 7.03 and he's struck out 49 batters in 80.2 innings. |
