Eagles Advance to League Championship Series Saturday, September 19th , 2065 The championship aspirations of the Wilmington Eagles are still alive and well, while the Fresno Grizzlies are left to wait until next year. Wilmington won the clinching game of the Wildcard Series 2-1 over Fresno at Eagles Ballpark, to win the series 3-1. "You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said third baseman Kevin Stark, who paced the Wilmington offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit." Stark claimed the MVP by racking up 9 hits for a .643 average, with a .688 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Wilmington Eagles will play against the Brooklyn Dodgers in the next round. Brooklyn had a bye in the Wildcard Series.
