Red-Hot Auld Cools Off Birmingham Friday, July 12th , 2069 Bill Auld kept the Birmingham Vulcans hitters off balance all game long, as the Atlanta Peaches pitcher blanked the Vulcans, 4-0. Auld gave up 3 hits, struck out 9, and walked 1. In the postgame press conference, the left-hander was reluctant to talk about the outing at length. "It was a nice win in a long season," he said. "I don't want to dwell too much on it." To date, Auld has collected 1 save in 16 relief appearances.
