Year Ends for Joel Hyde in Birmingham Sunday, July 28th , 2069 The season is apparently over for Joel Hyde. The Birmingham Vulcans medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 13 months with a damaged elbow ligament. Hyde was hurt in the game against Houston while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. Running the numbers on Hyde for the year, he has made 12 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 2-1 won-lost mark with a 4.09 ERA. In pitching 33 innings, he has totaled 20 strikeouts and 18 walks. |
